I was born in Louisiana but have been in Austin since I was 6, so I consider myself an Austinite. When I am not working, I enjoy exercising, spending time with my family, and traveling.

I grew up in a pretty high-tech house, as my dad was always getting the latest gadgets. I have been using Apple computers for as long as I can remember and have always loved technology.

Being a Texan native and a corgi pawdre, I began my professional journey as an engineer, where I honed my skills in constructing reliable and efficient systems from the ground up. However, I discovered my true passion in solutions architecture, realizing that it offered me the opportunity to leverage my technical

Kevan Pimentel —

I’m generally the on-site, in-person service guy, I’m the most common face to see show up at most worksites or homes of our clients with some routine scheduled services mixed in.

I was born in Virginia, but moved around the country ten times as an Air Force brat undergrad college lacrosse player, and sojourning to Alabama, Montana, New York City, New Orleans and all around Colorado for half my life before arriving in Austin for tech and lacrosse coaching opportunities in October 2014.

First computer in household – A Macintosh 512k came home from the computer store in 1984, 2 years before I did. First personal system – G4 Titanium PowerBook circa 2002. My father Mark actually owns and operates a (much smaller) one man Apple Consultants Network business, ASSISTech, in Colorado Springs, CO.

Byron Shaheen —

I am the Director of Operations at MacPlus. My main goal is to make the day-to-day operations of the business as seamless as possible so that we’re able to provide the most professional and efficient services to our highly valued clients.

I have 25 years of experience in the support industry, ranging from an individual contributor, to running global Customer Support and Customer Success teams, and everything in between. We are an extremely agile team here at MacPlus, are very serious about the quality of service we provide, and have a lot of fun doing it.

Beyond that, if you’re a New Orleans Saints fan, you might catch me on game day at the Superdome in New Orleans, or at Shoal Creek Saloon in Austin! Who Dat!

Becky Shaheen —
Project & Account Manager

I may have officially joined the team full-time on June 6, 2022, but I am proud to have been a cheerleader and supporter from the beginning.

My main role is keeping our team on schedule for big projects (office moves, restaurant openings, new home builds and renovations, etc). I also handle billing and other account management.

I am from Austin, TX (Loyal Forever, Hook ‘Em – IYKYK) and haven’t lived anywhere else. My previous career was in education, where I was a 5th and 6th grade teacher for 6 years and a school counselor for 4 years. The skills I learned managing students and then a school counseling department helps me in my current role.

Outside of work, you’ll find me getting a workout in for my mental and physical health; listening to music and podcasts; hanging out with our family (2 kids keeps us busy and we are lucky to have most of our extended family in town; and enjoying all of the wonderful food we have in Austin now!

David Abeyta —

I’m David, and my journey to MacPlus took an unconventional path from the perspective of IT standards. Being a seasoned professional musician, producer, and recording/mixing engineer, I ventured into the realm of Support Engineering in 2022. Many know me for my 19 years of touring and recording with the band, Reckless Kelly. While I continue to actively perform and record, I sought a way to stay closer to home.

MacPlus has become the perfect place for me to utilize and expand upon the tech skills I’ve honed throughout my years in studios, where the Mac has been vital in capturing digital audio. I’ve always been the go-to person for Mac and IT assistance, so I’m thrilled to apply these skills to assist our clients. Being part of a dynamic and collaborative team allows me to continually enhance my knowledge in this field.
